At Faerie Organic we take a holistic view to treating the skin. We believe in treating the person as a whole by focusing on the internal elements as well as the external. 

There are many skin issues arising today and most traditional methods of treatment focus solely on the external application and symptom care . We believe that gorgeous skin radiates naturally outward from a healthy internal environment. We cannot load our bodies with toxic chemicals found in processed foods and topical body care and expect to have healthy glowing skin. Treat the internal and external issues and beauty will come naturally. We always do our best to secure the highest quality organic ingredients from local farms and fair trade whenever possible. Following are the emulsifiers and preservatives we use......

Cetearyl Alcohol- is a mixture of naturally derived (Coconut and Palm Oils) fatty alcohols consisting predominantly of Cetyl and Stearyl Alcohol. Cetearyl Alcohol offers emulsifying properties and provides added moisture to the skin.

Glyceryl Stearate- is the natural glyceryl ester from stearic acid (glycerin and stearic acid) which offers skin conditioning, moisturization and hydration due to the glycerin component. Ecocert.

Cetearyl Olivate and Sorbitan Olivate- Together, cetearyl olivate and sorbitan olivate provide a safe, PEG-free emulsifying system. Both are derived from olive oil and provide emolliency, increased hydration and protection to the skin. Accepted under the natural and organic standards of Ecocert.

Sodium Benzoate and Gluconolactone- Sodium benzoate is a natural, food grade preservative. Gluconolactone, a natural product derived from gluconic acid, a carbohydrate, can sooth and hydrate skin. When these two are paired together, Gluconolactone will boost the preservative effect of sodium benzoate. Accepted under the natural and organic standards of Ecocert.

Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate- An Ecocert approved preservative derived from radishes fermented with Leuconostoc kimchii, a lactic acid bacteria that has traditionally been used to make kimchi, this product consists of an isolated peptide that is secreted from the bacteria during the fermentation process that has been shown to have antimicrobial benefits. It is accepted by Ecocert as an ingredient in certified organic cosmetics and is also on Whole Foods Acceptable Premium Preservative List.

Xanthan Gum- A natural thickener for cream emulsions and cleansing systems.  It is a polysaccharide produced through a bio-fermentation process of Xanthamonas campestris and sucrose or glucose.  The result is a powder that readily swells water to enhance stability and viscosity, using very small amounts. Non Gmo.
